Compared are the TV Version and the DVD Version, the latter represented by the US DVD Set "Volume 11".
8 altered scenes, 3 of them with a censored soundtrack and 4 with alternate footage
Difference: 8.8 sec
The numbers are still confusing but at least one DVD set now contains an entire season instead of episodes from two seasons, as it used to be the case with previous DVD releases. As a result, "Volume 11" (US) / "Season 12" (UK) contains all the episode of Season 10. Compared to the TV Versions, the DVD Versions are uncensored and uncut.
Episode 10 ("Meg and Quagmire") is only slightly shorter, however, it is one of the most toned down episodes of season 10. Because of several occasions with alternate footage during scenes with violence or sexual content the DVD Version appears much more graphic.
Peter comments on the Teen's Choice Awards without getting beeped: "Yeah, ever since Fox pulled this contrived night of bullshit out of their ass..."
A different scene of the audience: In the TV Version a girl squeezes out a baby and then waves it around on its umbilical cord. In the DVD Version, a different girl pees on the ground.
Directly after that scene, the entrance is shown a little longer in the DVD Version while the Host gets introduced in a different way than in the TV Version. In doing so, the producers avoided two words that would definitively have been beeped ("retards" and the f-word).
TV Version: "And now your host..."
DVD Version: "And now everybody scream like fucking retards for your host..."
DVD Version 1 sec longer.
The rampage is much more violent in the DVD Version: more girls are killed in the audience. In the TV Version, Wilford Brimley only fires a few more shots at the band standing off-screen and in the end just aims to shoot.
DVD Version 0.9 sec longer.
Quagmire's next message for Meg (to which she responds "I dunno. LOL. JK.") is different in the DVD Version.
No difference in time.
When Peter opens the fridge, Quagmire's pants are in the DVD Version everted down.
No difference in time.
The boring girls got another short scene.
- "I'm totally gonna wear a sombrero all the time when I get back home."
- "Me too."
Shortly after that, there's a slightly different statement.
TV Version: "I'm going to go poo now, so I don't have to later."
DVD Version: "I'm going to go take a dump now, so I don't have to Iater."
Peter does not get beeped: "You know, we ought to get a 'fuck cabin' up here."
