Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.
12 cuts = 3 minutes and 13.5 seconds.
There is no need to make many words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". You doesn't know it has at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.
As to the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.
After ALF panically said it was time (refering to Kate being in labor) and she should get up now, Kate explains: Relax, Alf! It's not time!
ALF: Well, isn't it about time it was time?
Kate tries to calm ALF down for an extended period. He inhales and exhales deeply several times and says: I'm breathing! It didn't help! What if I can't stop? What if I talk like this forever? I'll sound like Madeline Kahn!
After ALF left Willie's and Kate's bedroom, Kate's conversation with Willie is missing:
Kate: Willie, did you pack that overnight bag?
He goes to the bag and looks inside. He gets out a pack of chips, a picture of ALF and a bottle of champagne with a string attached (no pun intended). He and Kate look confused. Then ALF shows up at the door and says (refering to the champagne): You use that to christen the baby!
ALF's phone conversation with Kate is longer:
ALF (in panic): How far apart are the contractions? Did you boil the water yet? How do you expect me to help you if you won't calm down?
Kate: ALF, will you listen to me for one minute?
Kate is longer upset about ALF. She adds angrily: Well, neither is being woken up in the middle of the night!
ALF: All right, all right! I'll just sit right over there and not make a peep!
Extended shot of Kate trying to get out of bed.
Brian looks at his pancakes and says: Dad, what did you do to these pancakes?
Willie: Oh, I added muesli, and, uh, chopped nuts and some raisins!
Willie: To make them good for you!
Brian: I thought they tasted good for me!
Lynn calls sleeping ALF's name again, then she grabs his arm. He starts up from his sleep and screams: Oh, uh, it's time! It's time! It's time! The others shake their heads and sigh.
Kate: ALF, I promise! We can handle this! Go to sleep!
ALF: Kate! I understand that your moods are swinging like Benny Goodman! But never fear! I'm here for you!
ALF: Well, who needs a net? I'm hoop man myself!
Two missing shots of ALF sleeping.
Extended shot of ALF explaining the function of a remote control to Eric:
ALF: (This are the channel control buttons...) and this one here is the volume control! And this one... (ALF turns on the TV) ...puts the entire world right at your fingertips! Ah! This is the life, huh, Ericochet? Wait a minute, how would you know? You're brand-new! Well, trust me, this is the life! Now, let me tell you a little bit about Mel Cooley! He's the tall guy with the glasses! He's a lot like Willie! Although they don't have the same prescription, I don't think!... Here, here! Look, look!
