The original theatrical version missed out on 1 minute and 2 seconds of footage - the video-cam scene where Otis rapes the defenceless woman was shortened. The VHS released by Electric Video was based on the theatrical version, however, it misses out on 47 additional seconds which are also missing on the VHS/DVD released by Universal. There also exists an uncut version released by Optimum.
You don't see the camera panning away from the bloodbesmeared bad towards the bathroom; there you see the prostitute who was killed by Henry. She's topless and a broken bottle is coming out of her bloodbesmeared mouth.
Henry stabs the TV vendor a little longer. The latter twists in pain.
On TV you can see Otis going for the woman a little longer.
A few more missing details of this scene.
Henry tries to push the boy to the floor. After doing so, he breaks the boy's neck. Then he looks at Otis and tells him to kill the woman. Otis then breaks the woman's neck. The UK version instead shows an alternative shot of Henry and Otis who are sitting in front of the TV and watch some of the film exposures.
Uncut: 25 sec.
BBFC 18: +6 sec.
After Henry killed the father off-screen (this is still included in the UK version) he goes to the camera and points it to the family's corpses. Otis fools around with the woman's corpse.
