Compared are the TV Version and the extended DVD Version (both available on the US DVD Box "Volume 4").

1 new scene with a length of 88.4 sec
+ 1 audio modification in the TV Version

Family Guy is a huge success on FOX. But some modifications need to be made to get permission to air it on FOX because some gags are too rude for TV. Other gags have only been removed to reach the appropiate length for an episode on TV, which means not all the differences were made due to censorship. Nevertheless there are still enough hilarious, outrages gags in it so that fans are gonna have lots of fun with watching the TV Version on FOX. (I'm speaking from experience.)

BTW It airs every sunday evening on FOX. That's really nice because you can also watch the new American Dad episode and new episode of The Cleveland Show. So you've got a terrific triple feature. And when you're watching FOX anyway, you can also watch the latest Simpsons episode. I can really imagine worse evening than watching the latest episodes of the series by Seth MacFarlane plus some new adventures of Homer & Co.

The DVD Version of episode 4x17 "The Fat Guy Strangler" contains a new scene: a musical number with Peter and his fat friends. According to the audio commentary, that scene has been cut for time reasons. Otherwise the usual length of 22 min couldn't have been reached.

Furthermore, there's a modification in the audio track. It was the infamous F-Word once again.

Time index refers to the TV Version.

Please note:

Episode 4x15 "Brian Goes Back To College" contains a small modification during Peter's statement "who gives a shit". The word "shit" has been beeped in the TV Version.

Episode 4x16 "The Courtship Of Stewie's Father" contains alternate footage in one scene. According to the audio commentary, that modifaction is censorship.
Quagmire tells about his sex adventures and illustrates it with a lot of wild gestures. Peter keeps Stewie's ears shut so that the scene is silent (even for the audience). One can only assume what Quagmire is talking about but his gestures are pretty clear. Here, the TV Version contains a recut to Peter and Stewie to cover up a filthy gesture of Quagmire's.

Steven insults the following candidate (Tammy). In the TV Version, the F-Word is beeped. Only in the DVD Version, he's allowed to say "Fuck you!" without any censorship.
(The discussion started because Tammy took the amount Stewie mentioned and raised it with just one single buck.)

After the cutaway gag about Tara Reid's breast surgery, the DVD Version contains an additional scene.
Peter and his buddies from the NAAFP on a friend's funeral.

Peter makes a short speech: "Michael was one of our brothers. He was a good man. He was a kind man. He was a fat man."
Another guy goes on: "And now he's a dead man. And we're all next. The Fat Guy Strangler's gonna get us!"
Further guys make some comments: "Oh my god!" - "We're finished!" - "Will someone tie my shoe?"
Peter calms them down: "People, people! I know what will make us feel better. Let us sing the NAAFP anthem."
Everyone choruses:

"Stand up, all fat men,
stand up straight.
Stand up because no chair can hold your weight.
If God created us to be so big
- That's proof -
He must be a big fat pig.
God's really flabby with an ass so wide,
his arms look like pillows with cake mix inside.
God's man boobs are flabby and they hurt when he jogs
and the back of God's neck looks like a pack of hot dogs."
