Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.
9 cuts = 2 minutes and 43 seconds.
There is no need to make many words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". You doesn't know it has at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.
As to the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.
When Lynn is on her way to the door because her friend Eddie honked outside, some dialog is missing.
Alf: Where are you going?
Alf: Out where? And with who?
Alf: What kind of parents are you?
Katherine: The kind who trust our 18-year-old daughter!
Willie: We know where she's going! She's going to the movies! Right, honey?
Willie: What are you gonna see, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"?
Lynn: Unbearable Lightness of Being!
Willie: Then you're gonna probably stop off for pizza, huh?
Willie: (Well, say hello to Julie for us!)
Willie: Happy now, Alf?
After Eddie rang the door and Lynn then said to Willie and Kate that she was going to let him in now, the subsequent shot of her opening the door is missing.
Extended shot of Lynn when she tells ALF she was seeing Eddie again but her parents were not supposed to pick up o it because they were against it.
When ALF tells Lynn he had destroyed Kate's wedding gift, a little ballerina statue, a shot of ALF and another one of Lynn is missing at the end of the scene.
Brian and ALF are watching a movie. Kate enters the living room and says: It's 9:05, past somebody's bedtime!
Alf: Oh, no fair! I wanted to watch "Curse of the Moon People!"
Katherine: I was talking to Brian!
Alf: I knew that! Hit the hay, Bri!
Willie: Night, B!
Katherine: I'll come tuck you in in a few minutes!
Brian: Mom, I'm old enough to tuck myself in!
Katherine: Oh! Well, I understand!
Brian: But you can still read me a story!
Brian is on his way to his room while Kate is happy when she is watching him leave.
Willie: Gee, they grow up so fast! Pretty soon, he's not gonna need us for anything!
Alf: I'll always need you guys!
Willie: We know!
The door bell rings. Willie, Katherine and Alf at the same time: Alf, hide in the kitchen!
ALF goes to the kitchen while Willie goes to the door.
Alf: (You're getting carried away! Lynn's just fine!)
Katherine: (How do you know?)
Alf: Well.... Well, she's uh... Um, well, I don't know for sure!
Alf: I don't suppose you could just trust me on this one?
Katherine und Willie schauen ernst drein.
Alf: I didn't think so!
Lynn gives ALF the evil eye after she got into trouble because ALF spilled the beans about her and Eddie. So after she gave him the evil eye, some dialog is missing:
Alf: You know, it was the funniest thing...
Lynn: Please! Sie läuft zu Alf hin und meint weiter: Thank you for ratting on me! Thank you for ruining my entire life! Thank you very, very much!
She growls at ALF, then she goes to her room. ALF makes a comment about Lynn's reaction: There goes a polite young lady!
Extended shot of ALF looking at Lynn after she told Kate about the ballerina statue.
