Comparison between the German Video released by Intercontinental Home Ent./Mike Hunter and the British Video released by Satanica (BBFC 18).
The German Video only contains one footage tear. The British version contains several footage tears, too, but why the two longer scenes of shooting the soft-core flick are missing remains a mystery to me. They are not offensive in any way, they are actually somewhat funny since the actress cannot get her lines right. And if the two shots of Viv being murdered are missing because of censorship reasons is unknown to me, as well.
By the way, the British DVD version is identical to the old Video version, meaning the scenes are missing there, too.
Old German Video version (Academy ratio) = 80:48 minutes
British Video version (Matted) = 79:24 minutes
Cuts in the British version:
Footage tear: We see the house longer. The beginning of the next shot is also missing, it shows Philip on the left and James on the right. 1.5 sec.
During the shooting of the soft-core flick "Bathtime with Brenda" the British version lacks several (harmless) shots.
Footage tear: When Suzie turns around we see her leaving the room. The beginning of the next shot showing Ann is missing, too. 3 sec.
Footage tear: Beginning of the shot that shows the insides of the night club. 1 sec.
Again, the British version lacks some scenes from shooting the erotic movie. Viv has forgotten the lines and goes through the script, again. The director and the leading actor are irritated. Insert of James who looks up at the lamp. 47.5 sec.
When Viv is being stabbed the British version lacks a stitch through her foot (ungory) and a close up of her face while she is screaming. 1.5 sec.
After the police man was run over by the police car and is dead now the German version shows him lying on the floor longer. 1 sec.
Cut in the German version:
11:50 The German version lacks a shot of Gary and Carol. He says to her: "...and listen to my voice.". 2.5 sec.
