The box office success of Kevin Costner's "Dancing with Wolves" (1990) was followed by several movies that revived the adventure genre. Among them such classics as "Rapa Nui" (1994) or "The Last of the Mohicans" (1992).
In 1991 Ron Underwood released his adventure comedy "City Slickers", which also was a big success and brought Jack Palance an oscar.
Later a DVD with one additional scene was released by MGM. This report compares the old German VHS version, which is identical with the original international theatrical release (except that it is in fullscreen) and the extended version from the German DVD, which is also identical with other international DVD-releases and has the original anamorph aspect ratio. However, since the German DVD was used in this report the subtitles in the pictures are also German.
