Fright Night 2: New Blood is no sequel to the original film or the theatrical remake from 2011 but rather transports the events to Bucharest and changes the male character Jerry Dandridge to a female version called... Gerri Dandridge. It is thus a new, loose version of the subject matter. It turns out to be a direct-to-video production with mostly unknown actors and makes a solid impression without actually overly impressing. Still, it has some nice gore scenes and naked skin to offer to its audience and that was the reason why 20th Century Fox decided to release the film in two versions. The US DVD and Blu-ray are both visibly marketed as "Unrated" but they also have a censored MPAA R version (for bloody violence, sexuality/nudity and language) on board. This cut is also the version that is distributed as Digital Download and omits some of the nudity and violence but fortunately, there's still plenty of both left.
Comparison between the R-Rated Version and the Unrated Version (both included in the US-Blu-ray/DVD combo set by 20th Century Fox)
5 cuts = 31.44 seconds
0:30:53: The young woman lustfully grabs her breasts.
0:31:11: The R-Rated waits until the nipple is covered by the arm.
0:31:38: Close-up of the breasts. Old Gerri looks excited.
0:31:51: The woman bleeds heavily from her slit throat. Charley watches this from inside the coffin and looks shocked.
0:32:36: When the woman hangs over the bathtub while bleeding out (similar to the scene from Hostel 2), the R-Rated shows her bare breasts, as well. But when the camera pans up to her naked lower body and other shots of the nude dying woman are following, the R-Rated cuts away.
