Comparison between the cut R-Rated version by Southgate Entertainment and the cut FSK 18 version by Pacific Video Plus.

The German tape may be heavily cut in terms of depictions of violence, but in one storyline sequence at the beginning it is actually longer than the R-Rated version.
The US renting company probably thought it to be "unnecessary lengthening" and subsequently left it out.

The running time designation referst to the R-Rated version. The remaining running time difference is a result of the different running speeds of NTSC and PAL as well as of the cuts in the German version.
Running time of the R-Rated VHS:1:28:46 (1:25:24 w/o credits)
Running time of the FSK 18 VHS: 1:23:24 (1:20:10 w/o credits)

In the US version, the scene ends after Prescott says that he wanted the slave traders. In the German version, however, it goes on for a bit longer.

At first, the woman at the microphone talks some more to the guy at the other end of the line. She says that he should not hang up and that she would try to do something for him. The man is compaining and says that he wanted a reward because he risked his ass out there.
Travis enters the room in the background.
Prescott tells the woman to promise him food, maybe even fresh meat. He adds that he would send some men when his information proved to be accurate.
Travis now starts to speak to Prescott by telling him that he could keep his men where they were right now. Prescott sits on the edge of his desk, Travis sits down in the chair in front of it and puts his legs on the desk.
Prescott now tells him that he hated the way his three rowdies would walk the streets, pretending the city was theirs, and that he neither like him, Travis.
In the background, we hear the man on the telephone saying that they should keep it secret, whom they had the info from.
Prescott tells Travis that it was the faul of people like him that the world became hell. Travis ironically defends himself by saying that he was only twelve when that happened, causing Prescott to stating that he still acted as if he was twelve. Travis then takes his feet off the desk while Anderson walks to another table and grabs a fax. He than asks Travis whether he knew the old Anderson ranch, in which a brother had recently opened. He adds that Travis probably was a regular customer there. Travis confirms that he knows the place. Prescott then tells him to fetch his men, drive out there and, if there was a slave trade going on, use "some magic". The slave traders were to be hanged immediately.

The the next scene (outside shot of the area) starts and the US version continues
71 sec.
