Comparison between the HK theatrical version and the Japanese version.
This comparison only shows scenes which are missing in the HK version compared to the Japanese version.
HK: 1:25:08 / 1:26:03 (with credits)
Japan (NTSC): 1:33:22 / 1:34:26 (with credits)
Names were written by hearing, there may be some mistakes :)
Ken is sitting in a bar, the dancers are dressed up while the HK version shows them body-painted.
The chief of the reptoids can be seen longer and he adds a sentence while sitting at a table with other leaders.
Intercut to the reptoids is missing: One of them lifts up a glas with drugs and says something about selling them. The boss beats on the table and tells him that he wants to live in peace with humans. Some water spours out of the glas which suddenly spours back in.
After Shudo kissed Taki's girlfriend, a take of the hallway is missing.
A short dialogue with the dealer is missing.
After Taki managed to get rid of the police and run through the room three persons summon (somehow disturbing, I know): Taki, Ken and the chief of the reptoids. A dialogue between the chief of the reptoids and the policechief is missing. Afterwards they start fighting each other.
Things which are missing:
- the chief moves through a burning room
- the hurt Shira
- a dialogue which uncovers that the chief knew about her traitorship
A short fight is following and Shira got shot.
A dialogue between the chief of the reptoids and his son Shude is missing.
Same here, Shudo pushes back the airplane.
Again a dialogue is missing. The chief wants to explain Shudo that he is wrong and that he should not underestimate power and love. Both keep on fighting.
Taki shots at the chief and Gaye because he does not trust them. A short dialogue is following where the chief explains his motivation. Take puts back his gun and asks if humans and reptoids will ever work together.
