Sammy's Great Escape Censored in Great Britain
Belgian Animation Film Cut for Lowest Rating
Especially the UK is well-known for movies that are cut in oder to get the lowest possible rating of the BBFC. That happens more often than cuts to get a rating at all. A new example is Sammy's Great Escape. Here, the distributor removed an unfitting word and replaced it with a more harmless term so that especially kids aged 4 years and above can view the film. Unfortunately, it is unknown which word was changed.
BBFC: Distributor chose to remove a use of mild bad language in order to achieve a U classification. At U, only infrequent use of very mild bad language is allowed. An uncut PG was available Cuts were made by substitution.
