Oscar Winner Argo - Extended Cut Announced
Ben Affleck's Spy Thriller Gets Prolonged on BD

Normally, you'd think that a movie hasn't that much room for improvement when it scores Golden Globes for "Best Drama" and "Best Directing" and wins the Oscar for "Best Film". But Ben Affleck's Argo seems to make the exception here. As the cover artwork of the upcoming German Blu-ray clarifies, the film will be included in two versions: the Theatrical Version and an Extended Cut.

But that isn't so surprising when you look at Affleck's film The Town that got 3 different versions in the end. Anyway, we can be interested what Argo has to offer in the prolonged version when the Blu-ray hits on March 8th, 2013 (at least in Germany). The DVD will only contain the theatrical version.

It remains to be seen if and when the longer cut will also come out in other countries but that is highly probable.
