Furia - Vin Diesel Promises R-Rating for Prequel

Riddick's Origin Story Eyes for 2017 Release

Vin Diesel has a solid business going on as he stars in 3 franchises. Apart from the Fast & Furious films there's also the XxX series to which he will return as Xander Cage and the Riddick saga that currently has 3 films under its belt. In 2017, Furia is set to be the 4th entry.

Here, the origin story of Riddick will be told and we get to see how he became the warrior we know. A TV series is also in the works as it is the trend these days. But first of all, there's good news for the upcoming theatrical film. As Diesel has announced in a video on his Facebook site with directory David Twohy, Furia will come to theaters rated R. Diesel seems to be keen on stressing that fact so they still seem to remember the lukewarm responses the PG-13 version of Chronicles of Riddick earned from fans in 2004.
