The Cobbler - English Home Video Releases Also Cut

Cinema Cuts Not Removed for UK DVD and Blu-ray

In general, Adam Sandler's films are pretty harmless. The Cobbler doesn't derive from that description all too far but it would've received the BBFC 15 rating in its uncut form. Too much for the distributor that wanted to get the 12A rating for the theatrical release. The consequence was a censored version.

Unfortunately, those cuts will persist on the UK home video releases, as well. The BBFC lists the same version in its database and it looks like UK customers will have to get a foreign release if they want to avoid the toned-down version of The Cobbler.
