Terminator Genisys is Officially Rated PG-13
The origin story of the movie production Terminator Genisys was a bumpy ride in terms of the rating question. A few years back, when the rights to the franchise were in the hands of producer Megan Ellison, the "R" rating was announced like a triumph and a statement for fans. But that time has past and the new owners of the rights didn't have any interest in keeping up promise. So after the British BBFC already announced that the film will be screened in UK cinemas with a "12" rating without any cuts, it was a strong hint that the US rating could turn out similar.
And that is confirmed now with the release of the newest MPAA bulletin that lists the movie as being...
After Terminator Salvation, this film is now the second entry of the franchise being released theatrically with this rating. Let's keep our hopes up for the Blu-ray release and what additional version that might or might not include.
