Aquarius - Uncensored Episodes Await on Blu-ray

New Series With David Duchovny is Censored on NBC

David Duchovny hunts Charles Manson. That's one way to break down the plot of Aquarius into one sentence. The US TV station NBC chose an unusual way of releasing the series: after airing the first episode, they offered the whole season (13 episodes) on several platforms for 4 weeks. Binge watching is a trend, you know. In the linear release schedule for TV, one episode was shown every week. The only problem is: they are censored.

Every episode exists in two versions, of which the uncut offers more nudity. That is similar to Vikings, a series that also offers nude scenes in some of its extended episodes. The uncensored version of Aquarius will most likely come out at the end of 2015. Anchor Bay has secured the rights and will release the series on DVD and Blu-ray. A set release date is not yet confirmed.

Due to the good ratings both online and on TV, a second season for Aquarius is already greenlit.
