Deadpool Seems to be Aiming for R-Rating
Good news for fans of the upcoming Deadpool film adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds. After rumors about a possible PG-13 got fans pretty pessimistic, Reynolds himself revived hopes for the film everyone is expecting. In a video for JoBlo Movie, he clarifies that the "R" rating is the way to go and he added on his Twitter:
Let's hope that last bit doesn't provoke North Korea.
The Marvel multiverse with all of its PG-13 films is enormously successful, yes. But examples like Kingsman: The Secret Service show that a lot of money can be made with a rude and violent comic film, as well. $300 million at the world wide box office ain't so bad and that's surely an amount that would make FOX happy with the not too expensive Deadpool movie.
