The Inbetweeners 2: British Cinema Cuts on DVD/BD

England Faces Same Censorship as in Theaters

The 2nd theatrical film based on the British TV series The Inbetweeners is revolving around horny teenagers that struggle on the flirt market follows the first part also in terms of censorship. In England, the distributor Channel 4 decided to cut the film down from BBFC 18 to BBFC 15 in order to access a broader audience. The BBFC has the following to say:

This film was previously seen for advice. The company was advised the film was likely to be classified 18 but that their preferred 15 could be achieved by making reductions to two scenes involving crude humour.

But while the predecessor was released uncut on Blu-ray later on, the sequel isn't so lucky. The DVD and Blu-ray that get released on December 1st, 2014, will only contain the censored version that was already screened in British cinemas. We'll have to wait and see whether a foreign release (e.g. in the US) will contain the uncensored version or whether these are cuts that will be the same for every release worldwide.
