Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Version Overview

12-Part Mini Series and Shorter TV Version Coming

Machinima (or their Youtube channel, respectively) will show the mini series Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist. It is divided up into 12 episodes with 11-12 minutes runtime each. Similar to the cases of Halo 4: Forward unto Dawn and Mortal Kombat Legacy, the site aims primarily at a gaming audience.

After the release on Machinima, there will also be versions for the normal crowd on TV or DVD/Blu-ray. On the one hand, the 12 episodes will then be combined into 6 episodes with then 21-22 minutes of runtime and on the other hand, it will be crammed into a TV film that shortens the story from more than 2 hours to just 105 minutes. The DVD/Blu-ray will contain the complete film version, though.

While the differences between the TV film and the series format are quite obvious, it's yet unclear whether there will be any differences between the Machinima version and the DVD/Blu-ray. Looking at the example of Mortal Kombat Legacy where violence differences were to be found, there could be potential room for that.

As of right now, there are no exact release dates in place but Machinima aims at starting the series in May 2014.
