Django Unchained Suffers From Cuts in India
While Quentin Tarantino's new hit Django Unchained already had its theatrical start in all important territories, it will be released in India in early March 2013. Unfortunately, the public there will not see the uncensored version of the movie.
The CBFC (The Central Board of Film Certification) granted Django Unchained its rating only in an edited cut. The violence remained completely intact but scenes containing nudity had to be removed from the Indian theatrical version. This affects the following scenes
This doesn't mark the first time that a Tarantino film had to be censored in India. Before that, Inglourious Basterds and Kill Bill had to endure violence cuts.
