Metal Gear Rising: Japan Gets White Blood

The Rest of the World Gets Red Blood

The Metal Gear Solid spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released in the US and UK in February 2013. Those countries barely have to put up with censorship in games and it's the same this time around. Instead, Japan is the unlucky part in this story. As an employee of developter Platinum Games confirmed in the official message board, the Japanese version of the shooter will not feature red but white blood due to censorship reasons. At first, he also mentioned that the German version would be affected by this, as well, but had to correct himself later. It's unknown if this alteration also applies for other Asian countries apart from Japan but if you live there and want to make sure you get the uncensored version, you should consider going safe and importing a foreign release of the game.
