Savages - British DVD/Blu-ray Without Censorship

Home Video Releases Contain Uncut Extended Version

We already reported that the drug thriller Savages by Oliver Stone was censored when it came into British cinemas. The more lucrative BBFC 15 rating required some adjustments to make the film more harmless. Since it has happened several times before that this cinematical version also ended up being on the DVD and Blu-ray, it was advisable to wait until the BBFC or the cover artwork give more clues as to what to expect in the case of Savages.

However, it turns out the the British customers get lucky since Savages will be released as the uncensored Extended Cut, which runs more than 10 minutes longer than the theatrical version. It will be released in the UK on February 11th, 2013.
