Assassins Creed 3 - Trailer is Censored in the US
As the German gaming magazine Gamona reports, Ubisoft cut the American version of the story trailer for the upcoming action game Assassins Creed III. In contrast to the uncensored European version of the trailer, a scene is missing in which the hero kills various American soldiers.
Some might ask as to why the Canadian studio behind the game is worried about American sensitivities. However, if one remembers the controversy that stirred up around Call of Juarez 2, where the player had to fight as a confederate soldier against the northern states during the American civil war and that many Americans weren't quite happy with that, it might be understandable that at least the advertisement doesn't show a scene where the hero kills soldiers that are fighting for America's freedom. In the game itself it's said that there's also the possibility to avoid the group of soldiers.
