OMG Oh My God! Banned in Several Countries

Indian Comedy Gains Few Friends

The UAE are an important market for Indian film productions. That can be frustrating when there are problems with the strict censorship (as could be seen with Raaz 3 - The Third Dimension recently). But while things were censored here, the release of OMG Oh My God! seems to be scrapped completely.

In OMG, a store owner (Mithun Chakraborty) that isn't normally that religious, sues Krishna after a tornado tore his store apart. The reviews are mostly positive and applaud the critical view on religion in general.

But not only the the Middle East seems to be difficult territory for the film (that is a harmless comedy if you look at it from a Western point of view, e.g. the British BBFC gave it a low PG rating), but also Malaysia where the film was banned because it contains sensitive religious scenes.
