The New Normal will not be aired in Utah
It's this time again. The US TV season starts soon and the channels will air dozens of new shows during the next weeks. One of them is The New Normal which will be shown on NBC beginning September 11th, 2012. It was developed by Ryan Murphy who had great successes with his other formats Glee and American Horror Story.
It remains to be seen if The New Normal can gain similar fame, at least it got the media's attention already. Since the comedy focuses on homosexual couples, NBC's subsidiary in the Mormon state Utah, KSL-TV, isn't happy at all. According to their administration, the show isn't suitable for the family-friendly primetime in several aspects, among those being too explicit scenes or crude dialogue. Therefore, the channel has decided not to air the show in Utah.
This is not the first time that KSL-TV is unhappy with the content of shows. Last year, they refused to air the quickly cancelled drama series The Playboy Club, starring Amber Heard.
