Expendables 2 has its R rating

The times of fear are over, it is for adults

We dedicated several news to the back and forth regarding the US rating for The Expendables 2. At first, Chuck Norris shocked fans by declaring that the film will hit cinemas with a PG-13 rating, Stallone confirmed and denied afterwards (yes, in this order) and finally, Lundgren nurtured hopes that it would be "R" in the end. Conclusion: the old Swede was right.

The newest MPAA bulletin lists the sequel of the action ensemble piece as rated R (for strong bloody violence throughout). That doesn't say much but is surely enough to let fans rejoice.

The Expendables 2 hits US cinemas on August 17th, 2012 and UK cinemas one day earlier.
