Looper comes in two versions
The science fiction film Looper starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt has an interesting premise and will be shown in a longer version in China in comparison to the rest of the world.
Normally, parts of the story take place in Paris but for the film, they changed the location to Shanghai. A special reason for this is to secure the support of Chinese financiers. The worldwide cinematical version of the film obviously featured too few scenes taking place in Shanghai for the taste of the Chinese. Responsible for that were test screenings with American audiences. For the Chinese version, some of those scenes will be re-integrated into the film. Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen.
