Margaret as Theatrical and Extended Cut
The production process of the Anna Paquin and Matt Damon-led drama Margaret, which started back in 2009, didn't go quite so smoothly. Allegedly, director Kenneth Lonergan couldn't manage to produce the final cut of the movie. This led to several lawsuits and the film was put on hold. In the end, the theatrical version was finalized by Martin Scorsese (Lonergan approved of it, though).
Now, the release of a Blu-ray/DVD combi set is scheduled and on board will not only be the theatrical version but also an Extended Cut, bringing 18 more minutes to the table. At first, the release will be Amazon-exclusive but will have its regular store date later on. However, that is not known, yet.
Margaret will be available on July 10th, 2012.
