A Serbian Film - The US finally get it uncut
In the past, we reported quite often about the worldwide releases of A Serbian Film, including the USA. For the NC-17 rating, extensive cuts had to be made and until now, this version was the only one available in the land of the free. The alleged reason were legal problems that evolved when the film was accused of showing child pornography after it was screened on the Spanish Sitges film festival.
Since these problems have faded away in the meantime, it seems that there's no problem that could prevent a release of the uncut version in the US anymore. Therefore, distributor Invisible Pictures has announced that they will release the uncensored version on DVD on May 22nd, 2012.
