Falling Skies - Extended pilot on DVD/BD?

First episode of sci-fi series to be extended

Falling Skies, a sci-fi series produced by Steven Spielberg, was a big success for US cable TV channel TNT in Summer 2011 and has been renewed for a 2nd season this year. Before it hits, Warner Home will release the first season on June 5th, 2012 on DVD/BD. As blu-ray.com reports, the pilot episode of Falling Skies will be available as an extended version in the bonus materials:

  • Extended version of pilot episode
  • Commentary on selected episodes
  • Season 2 sneak peek
  • 2011 Comic Con panel
  • [...]

It should be mentioned, though, that the one sheet announcement does not list this. We'll keep an eye on it.
