Transformers: The Last Knight with a Longer Cut?
Since China has become an incredibly important market over the last few years which will probably get even more important, the Chinese get an exclusive movie version every now and then.
For instance, the Chinese version of Iron Man 3 is approx. 4 minutes longer and contains additional footage of the Chinese doctor and adds of a particular beverage manufacturer. Allegedly, Transformers: The Last Knight is approx. 2 minutes longer as well. Because after all, the previous installment was the second most successful one of the entire Transformers series and grossed $320 million only in China.
But something is rotten in the state of Denmark: As reported by chinafilminsider, the Chinese version is supposed to be longer than 150 minutes while the other versions worldwide are supposed to have a length of 148 minutes. That being said, the BBFC lists the movie with a length of 148:53 minutes and the German FSK with 151:40 minutes. At this point, it is unknown whether or not the German or Chinese version are actually longer but we will keep you posted.
